Arkadiy Volkov
Some people never had anyone truly in their corner. This is where that changes.
You might come across as composed, capable, even easy to be around. But inside, there’s often a quiet exhaustion — from working hard to keep things together, from relationships that feel more risky than rewarding, from a sense that something important about you stays just out of reach.
For couples, it often shows up as distance. Not because the love isn’t there, but because somewhere along the way, it became hard to reach each other. Arguments that go nowhere, silences that stretch too long, the feeling of being more alone together than apart.
A lot of this starts early. Growing up in an environment where emotions weren’t welcomed — or where you had to be the steady one — leaves marks. Not always obvious ones. But they show up: in how hard it is to ask for help, to let someone close, to feel like you actually matter.
That’s what I work with. And it does change.
You might be a good fit if…
- You’re self-aware enough to know something is off, but can’t quite get to it on your own.
- Relationships feel like high-stakes territory — you want closeness but brace for disappointment.
- You feel things deeply, but expressing it — or even naming it — doesn’t come easily.
What my work looks like
There are two kinds of work we do together. The first is practical — tools for the moments that tend to go sideways: difficult emotions, hard conversations, old patterns catching you off guard. The second is foundational — building the safety and security inside yourself that makes those tools possible to use in the first place.
My approach, in a sentence
We reconnect emotion, thought, and body — nurturing connection, shifting old patterns, and helping you feel more grounded.
Outside of session
I love art, history and philosophy, and enjoy brewing tea for my friends and browsing old bookstores.
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist. I completed my Master’s in Counselling Psychology at Moscow State University for Psychology and Education, and have been practicing since 2014.
