Online Therapy for Mississauga Residents
Mississauga is roughly half an hour from our downtown office on a good day and well over an hour on a bad one, which is why most of the Mississauga clients we work with see their therapist online. Feel Your Way Therapy is a group practice of about 18 registered therapists based at Spadina and College in Toronto, and the majority of our sessions now happen over secure video with clients across Ontario, from Port Credit and Lorne Park through Cooksville, Erin Mills, Streetsville, Meadowvale, Churchill Meadows and Malton.
within a week
as standard
The session itself does not change. Same registered therapist, same 50 minutes, same approach chosen for what you are dealing with. You just attend it from your own kitchen table instead of budgeting an evening around the QEW.
What Mississauga clients tell us matters
We are not going to put you on a waitlist
Our seven rooms downtown fill up. The online schedule does not have that ceiling, so most people book a first appointment within a week. If you have already called around Mississauga and Oakville and heard “we’ll add you to the list, probably six weeks,” that is usually the sentence that brings people to this page.
Appointments after work and on weekends
Most of our clients hold full-time jobs, so a meaningful part of our schedule sits in the evenings and on Saturdays. Booking 7pm on a Thursday here is ordinary.
Eighteen therapists, so the match is deliberate
Who you work with predicts how well therapy goes more reliably than which model is listed on the website. With a team this size we can match on the work itself (EFT for couples, CBT for anxiety and panic, IFS, trauma-focused therapy) and on the human parts: gender, age, whether you want someone soft-spoken or someone who will interrupt you. If the fit is wrong we move you, and we would rather hear that in session two than session twelve.
Direct billing, receipts, sliding scale
We direct bill several major insurers, which means many clients pay nothing at the appointment. Where a plan does not support it, receipts are issued automatically for reimbursement. We keep a limited number of sliding scale spots starting at $50 per session.
What Mississauga residents come to us for
Mississauga clients most often arrive for EMDR and trauma processing, followed by OCD treatment, life transitions, play therapy for younger children, infidelity recovery, and structured CPT for PTSD. All of it runs online exactly as it runs in the office.
Structured reprocessing so a memory stops carrying the charge it still carries.

Browse all →Therapy in Portuguese, Urdu, Hindi and five other languages
We provide therapy in eight languages besides English: Portuguese, Urdu, Hindi, Farsi, Russian, Ukrainian, German and French. Four of those are directly relevant to Mississauga.
The Portuguese-speaking community here runs deep, particularly through Cooksville and the Dundas corridor, and it includes a lot of people who have spent decades doing their working life in English and their emotional life in Portuguese. Those are not the same skill. Describing grief, shame or a marriage in a second language means constantly choosing the word you can reach instead of the word you actually mean, and the session slowly becomes an exercise in translation.
The same applies to the Urdu and Hindi speaking communities across Malton, Heartland, Meadowvale and Streetsville. Being able to say the difficult sentence the first time, in the language you thought it in, changes what therapy can get to.
If your first language is not among those eight, sessions run in English. We will tell you that directly rather than implying a match we cannot deliver.
Why the drive is part of the problem
Look at what a downtown appointment actually costs someone living here.
30 to 35 minutes when the roads are clear
From Square One or Erin Mills to Spadina and College is about 30 to 35 minutes when the roads are clear. On a weekday evening, with the QEW slowing through Etobicoke and the Gardiner doing what the Gardiner does, plan on 60 to 85 minutes. The 407 is faster and billed by the kilometre. Parking near College Street costs $20 to $25 for the hour you are in the room.
It depends sharply on where you live
Transit splits sharply depending on where in Mississauga you live. From Port Credit or Clarkson, GO Lakeshore West to Union takes about 25 minutes and runs all day, which is genuinely workable. From Cooksville, Erindale, Streetsville or Meadowvale, the Milton line is a weekday peak service, so it is close to useless for a 6pm appointment and you are back to MiWay, the car, or a long connection through Kipling.
So a 50-minute session eats two and a half to three hours. Add school pickup, a partner’s schedule, or a manager who notices when you leave at 3:45, and the appointment turns into the easiest thing in the week to cancel. The pattern we see over and over is not someone losing interest. It is someone missing one session to traffic, one to childcare, and quietly disappearing by week five.
Online removes the calculation entirely. Your session ends and you are already home.
Coming to the office, honestly
Our office is 455 Spadina Avenue, at Spadina and College. Seven rooms, a proper waiting area, a short walk from Queen’s Park station.
For Mississauga that is one of the shorter trips in the GTA, roughly 30 to 40 minutes off-peak, so combining formats is more practical here than it is for clients further north. Common arrangements:
- The first session or two in person to get the relationship established, then online after that
- Weekly online, in person once a month or when something significant is happening
- Couples sessions in person, individual sessions online, since two people sharing one laptop camera is genuinely difficult
You do not need to pick before you start, and you can change your mind partway through. Both formats sit inside the same treatment plan.
Getting started
You book a free 15-minute consultation
We will ask what has brought you here, what you have tried before, what helped and what did not, and what your week can realistically hold.
We recommend a specific therapist
Then we recommend a specific therapist and tell you why that person rather than one of the other seventeen.
Booking, receipts and billing
Booking happens directly through our system, receipts are automatic, and direct billing is set up before your first session.
No referral is needed
Psychotherapy is not covered by OHIP, so what matters is your extended health plan rather than your health card.
