Online Therapy for London, Ontario Residents
London residents work with us entirely online, and unlike our pages for the GTA, there is no in-person alternative to offer you. Feel Your Way Therapy is a group practice of about 18 registered therapists based in Toronto, seeing clients across Ontario over secure video, including Old North, Old South, Wortley Village, Byron, Masonville, Oakridge, Hyde Park, Westmount and White Oaks.

That distance turns out not to matter much. What people usually want from a therapist is availability, a good match, and a schedule that works around a job or a course load. None of those depend on being in the same city.
What London clients come to us for
Most often when a household has stopped being able to have one particular conversation.

Explore → IFSFor the sense of being divided against yourself, one part working against another.

Family therapy, most often when a household has stopped being able to have one particular conversation. Sessions can include parents together, a parent and a teen, or the whole household, and online makes it considerably easier to get everyone in the same session when one parent works shifts or the family is split across two homes.
Teen therapy for ages roughly 13 and up. Teenagers often do better on video than adults expect. They are already comfortable in the format, they can attend from their own room, and the drive-with-a-parent-in-silence problem disappears.
Depression, IFS and ACT
Depression, including the version that looks functional from outside. Still working, still showing up, running on empty for months.
IFS (Internal Family Systems) for the sense of being divided against yourself, where one part of you wants something and another part is actively working against it.
ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) for people who have already done CBT and found that understanding the thought did not stop it from running the day. ACT shifts the target from arguing with thoughts to acting on what you actually care about while they are still there.
Couples work in EFT, plus CBT for anxiety and panic, make up much of the rest.
Western and Fanshawe students: $80 per session
We hold a student rate of $80 per session for full-time students, which is roughly half our standard fee.
The reason it exists is that student mental health services are structurally overloaded. Western’s Health and Wellness and Fanshawe’s counselling services both do good work and both run on wait times that do not match the shape of a term. A student who hits a wall in week six of the fall term often cannot get sustained weekly support until January, which is exactly the interval in which a semester gets lost.
Your student health plan likely covers a portion of psychotherapy. Check whether your plan reimburses services from a Registered Psychotherapist specifically, and what the annual cap is, because plan wording differs and some cover psychologists only. With the $80 rate, plan coverage often takes the out-of-pocket cost down substantially.
You keep the same therapist when you leave London. Students go home to Mississauga or Ottawa in April, come back in September, do a co-op term in another city, or graduate and move. In a local in-person practice, each of those is a hard stop and a restart with someone new. Working online across Ontario, none of them interrupt anything.
What is actually hard about getting therapy in London
The barrier here is not a commute. It is supply and timing.
Demand outruns the clinicians
London has a long-standing gap between demand and available clinicians. CMHA Thames Valley and the publicly funded services carry substantial waits, and private practices in Old North and around Masonville are frequently closed to new clients or booking weeks out. Then there is the schedule problem: the practices with the shortest waits usually have daytime availability, which is no use if you work full time, and the evening slots are the first to fill.
Driving to Toronto is not a workaround
Spadina and College is about two hours each way down the 401 in good conditions, more in February. Via Rail to Union is roughly two and a quarter hours and then you still need the subway. A 50-minute appointment becomes a full day off work. We are not going to pretend that is a hybrid option.
What online actually gives you is a much larger pool of therapists than London itself contains, without any of the travel.
Why people book with us specifically
No waitlist for online sessions
Most people get a first appointment within a week of reaching out.
Evening and weekend appointments
A large share of our schedule is deliberately outside business hours, which is the availability London clients tell us they cannot find locally.
Eighteen therapists, so we match rather than assign
Fit with your therapist predicts outcome better than which model is on the website. We match on the work, on gender and age, and on style. If the first match is wrong, tell us early and we will move you.
Direct billing, receipts, sliding scale
Direct billing with several major insurers, automatic receipts otherwise, and a limited number of sliding scale spots starting at $50.
Do we have a London office?
No, and unlike our Toronto-area pages there is no realistic in-person option to combine with. Our single office is at 455 Spadina Avenue in Toronto, two hours away. If sitting in a room with your therapist is essential to you, a London-based practice is the better choice and we will say so on the consult call rather than sign you up for something that does not fit.
For everyone else, online is the whole service, and it is what we have built the practice around rather than something we added as an afterthought.
Getting started
Book a free 15-minute consultation
We ask what brings you in, what you have already tried, and what your week can realistically support.
We recommend a specific therapist
Then we recommend a specific therapist and explain the reasoning.
Booking, receipts and the student rate
Booking is done directly through our system, receipts issue automatically, and direct billing is arranged before the first session. Mention that you are a student and we will apply the $80 rate from session one.
No referral is required
Psychotherapy is not covered by OHIP in Ontario, so the question is your extended health or student plan.

Our office is in downtown Toronto
We do not have a London location, and at two hours down the 401 we would not pretend otherwise. Every London client we work with is seen online.
