Is your teen struggling emotionally, socially, or academically?
Adolescence is a time of massive change. Your teen may be navigating academic pressure, shifting identities, peer conflict, emotional ups and downs, or questions about their future. You might notice increased irritability, withdrawal, risk-taking, or struggles with motivation — or they say "I'm fine" while clearly feeling anything but.
Therapy for teens offers a safe, confidential space to process their experiences, learn coping tools, and build a stronger sense of self. We support teens aged 13 and up with therapy that is compassionate, relatable, and grounded in evidence-based approaches that meet them where they are.

Teen mental health challenges are more common than you think
Teenagers today face more pressure than ever — from academic performance and social media to identity questions and family expectations. According to the CMHA, approximately 1 in 5 youth in Ontario experience a mental health challenge, yet many suffer in silence. These are not just "phases to grow out of." You might notice:
Increased irritability, withdrawal, or risk-taking.
Struggles with motivation or mounting academic pressure.
Saying "I'm fine" while clearly feeling anything but.
Anxiety, depression, or intense emotional ups and downs.
Self-esteem issues or perfectionism.
Peer conflict, bullying, or social challenges.
Family conflict, grief, or trauma.
Big questions about identity or their future.
These are not just phases to grow out of. With the right support, teens can develop tools to navigate challenges now — and for the rest of their lives.

How teen therapy works at our clinic
We approach therapy for teens with flexibility, curiosity, and respect, adapting to each teen's communication style and comfort level. Some want to talk deeply; others prefer metaphors, art, or problem-solving tools.
Therapy may include exploring identity, managing school stress, building self-advocacy skills, or processing difficult experiences like divorce or bullying. We also offer family therapy or occasional parent check-ins when appropriate, to strengthen support systems and communication at home.

In-person therapy at our downtown Toronto office and virtual sessions across Ontario.
You don't have to be "in crisis" to benefit.

First of all, you're not alone. If things feel overwhelming or confusing right now, therapy is a place to talk about it without pressure. There's no script, no right way to do it. Maybe you feel anxious all the time, maybe school feels like too much, maybe you just need someone outside your family to help you figure things out.
We're not here to judge you, fix you, or tell you what to do. We're here to listen, to support, and to help you understand what's going on in your mind and body. What you say in therapy is private (unless you're at risk of harm), and you get to set the pace. Even if it's awkward at first, we'll meet you where you are.
